The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester will next week become the first members of the British royal family to visit since the handover, stopping over from July 18 to 21 after a visit to Beijing and Xian.
The duke, in his capacity as president of the British Consultants' Bureau, will open and attend an architectural and planning workshop. The duchess will visit a number of charities.
