  Ms Boyer will focus on enhancing and developing automotive business opportunities within the region.

Crocodile Garments has appointed So Hoi-pan as deputy chairman and chief executive officer.

 Mr So has more than 30 years experience in the garments and knitting industries as well as more than 15 years in the wholesale and retail business.

Compaq Computer Greater China Division has announced three senior appointments.

 Henry Tse has been appointed as managing director for China, Peter Yeung as managing director for Hong Kong and Rosemary Ho as managing director for Taiwan.

 John Donker has been named a principal. He will work on major commercial litigation and criminal fraud cases.

  Mike Evans has been named a principal. He will be the company's representative on the Hong Kong Society of Accountants' Auditing Practices Committee.

  Eugene Liu has been appointed as a partner. He will be responsible for audit and capital markets work locally and in the mainland.

  Terry Poon has been admitted as an audit partner. A member of the company's China audit team, Mr Poon has been involved in H and B share listing related audit work.

   Albert Cheung has been named as a partner. Mr Cheung specialises in capital markets assignments and will further develop the mainland market.

Bertrand Michaud has joined Hermes Greater China as managing director, overseeing business operations in Hong Kong, Taiwan and the mainland.

 Mr Michaud joined Hermes International in 1992 as area manager for the Asia-Pacific. Prior to joining Hermes, he was a visiting research fellow at the University of California in Los Angeles and the owner of a retail business.

Ka Wah Bank has appointed Florence Pau as the bank's head of marketing.

 Ms Pau will be responsible for retail business planning and marketing.

Surene Virabhak has been appointed as a consultant with Tully & Co.

 Based in Singapore, Ms Virabhak will be responsible for handling the placement of qualified lawyers in private practice and industry.

New York Life Insurance Worldwide has promoted Ivor Cheung to executive agency director.

 Mr Cheung will be responsible for developing and managing a sales team and providing professional services to clients.
