I wish to complain about the state of the road leading to Sui Lam Village and Tai Lam Chung Reservoir. This road is used by picnickers making for the reservoir.
For the past 15 months, a contractor has been building high-rises at the entrance to the road. In the process, the direction of the village road has been changed six times. Following the last direction change, it now has four sharp bends, which means not only that it is dangerous, but that it adds about five minutes' walking time to reach the main bus-stop at Castle Peak Road.
When returning home by taxi, this road is often blocked by contractors, parked cars or lorries unloading stores. This leads to a long wait and adds to the taxi fare. That is assuming you can get a taxi to use the road, as some taxi drivers consider it to be too dangerous and so drop passengers off where the road begins. This is difficult for me as I am aged 82 and find it difficult to walk along this muddy road.
