A feast of young artistic talent will mark the 50th anniversary of the Hong Kong Schools Music and Speech Festival.
The event will reach its climax when more than 100 youngsters take part in a programme that includes a brass band, Chinese ensemble and English and Chinese speech and drama.
Prominent musicians and conductors will perform at a concert at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on July 30.
The celebration coincides with a world conference of children's choral music, which will be held at the same venue.
Choirs, conductors and academics from the United States, Israel, Sweden and the mainland have been invited.
There will also be lectures, demonstrations, seminars, workshops and presentations.
The two-day conference is organised by the Hong Kong Schools Music and Speech Association, Hong Kong Treble Choirs' Association, and International Federation for Choral Music and China Association for Children's Choral Music.
