Guangdong Investment Fair

Guangdong will convene an investment fair in Hong Kong next month to drum up overseas interest in the provincial economy.

The Guangdong New and High-Tech Business Fair will be held from August 5 to 8 at the Hong Kong Convention Exhibition Centre. The province will send vice-governor Tang Bingquan to lead a delegation of officials from 21 cities.

The government has identified 200 priority projects for promotion. These include such high-technology areas as new materials, energy, electronic information, optic-electromechanic integration and bioengineering as well as a variety of agricultural, chemical industry and infrastructure projects.
