Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has opened its new container depot joint venture, Qingdao Orient International Container Storage & Transportation Co (QOCT), in Qingdao.

 Costing 78.85 million yuan (about HK$73.33 million), QOCT will have an annual capacity of 120,000 teu (20 ft equivalent units), rising to 160,000 teu when a second stage is completed.

 The facility offers added-value services including container transport, container stuffing and loading, warehousing and container inspection, maintenance and repair.
