AN Anti-Smuggling Task Force officer and two mainlanders were injured in a collision between a Marine Police launch and a high-powered speedboat, or Chung Fei , off Shek O last night. The speedboat sunk shortly after the collision at about 9.30 pm and its two crew were rescued. Mr Wong Kwok-kwan, 21, sustained head and facial injuries. He and his companion, Tsang Kwong-hung, 25, who felt unwell, were taken to Tang Shiu Kin Hospital. Mr Wong was later transferred to Queen Mary Hospital. Mr Tsang was treated and discharged, and was assisting the investigations. Task Force constable Leung Yun-keung, 40, who had leg injuries, was also treated and discharged. Officers believe the speedboat, from Waitung, was in Hongkong to pick up a consignment of contraband goods for China. The Marine Police launch was slightly damaged.
