A TELFORD Gardens resident priest led four other Taoist masters in a three-hour ceremony yesterday to appease the spirits of six women who died in the troubled estate.
Priest Wu Kin, who lives in block F, helped perform the Taoist ritual for peace and harmony in front of blocks C and T where the six died in two separate incidents in the same week.
'The owners' committee wanted to do this for the peace of mind of the neighbours,' he said.
More than 50 people queued to offer incense and paper money in the residential and shopping complex of about 5,000 residents.
Five of the women were found dead after swallowing cyanide in a fifth floor flat in Block C on July 23, amid pieces of fung shui paraphernalia.
Victims Tsui Shun-kam, 40, Choi Sau-chun, 44 and Becky Lam Chun-lai, 49, were close friends. The bodies of Tsui's two daughters Lee Ying-fai, 17, and Lee Ying-hei, 15, were also found.
