A local university has launched a job search service on the Internet.
The website, set up by the Department of Economics and Finance of the City University of Hong Kong, is aimed at assisting employers and job-hunting students.
With a growing pool of undergraduates chasing fewer jobs, it had become important for employers to be able to access complete, up-to-date information at the click of a button to aid them with the selection process, said Professor Stephen Cheung, the department head.
The free service will enable employers to access relevant information from their own offices in their own time.
Job fields are categorised, with students' resumes entered in the appropriate sections.
This would help prospective employers access information based on mutual interests and preferences, said the professor.
