Released by Microsoft, My Personal Tutor consists of two versions. The pre-school level is designed for three- to five-year-olds to learn essential skills, such as counting and quantities, colours and shapes.
The other version is designed to familiarise primary school children aged between five and seven with comprehensive mathematics and reading skills.
Incorporated in both versions of My Personal Tutor are two activity-packed CD-ROMs which will provide hundreds of hours of in-depth pre- school skills for younger children as well as essential knowledge for older ones.
My Personal Tutor: Pre-school contains two CD- ROMs named Pre-school Workshop for developing children's pre-school skills, and Alphabet Playhouse for establishing kids' familiarisation with the alphabet.
My Personal Tutor: Primary School Years One and Two contains two CD-ROM titles - Reader Railway and Mathopolis - to help children build up their reading and mathematics skills respectively.
The software comes with TutorAssist learning technology which assesses children's progress while giving proper instruction at the same time. This gives parents a clear picture of their child's standard.
