Most juniors get secondary school places

More than 90 per cent of students who took part in the Junior Secondary Education Assessment System have found school places.

Most were allocated subsidised Form Four and post- Form Three craft course places, according to a senior officer at the Education Department.

Of the 80,100 students who applied, 69,207 were given Form Four places, including 61,127 at their own schools.

Another 3,781 were allocated full-time post-Form Three craft course places.

Meanwhile, today is the last day to submit applications to attend Form Three or Four classes at the Government Evening Secondary School operated by the department.

Application forms can be obtained during office hours at the department's Adult Education Unit at Room 1106, Wu Chung House, 213 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai or district education offices and district offices of the Home Affairs Department.
