Asia Satellite Telecommunications said yesterday Rupert Murdoch's Star TV had signed an agreement to take seven C-band transponders on AsiaSat 3S, expected to be launched in early next year. The new satellite is the replacement for AsiaSat 3, which was destroyed in a launch failure last December. No financial terms for the deal were released.
