Pod (Jim Broadbent), Homily (Celia Imrie) and their kids, Peagreen (Tom Felton) and Arrietty (Flora Newbigin), are The Borrowers. They are a tiny family - each member is 10 centimetres tall - who live under the floorboards of a big house. They survive by 'borrowing' from Joe (Aden Gillet) and Victoria Lender (Doon MacKichan) and their son, Pete (Bradley Pierce) - the human beings upstairs. One day, Arrietty sets off on an adventure, only to be caught by Pete. Fortunately, he wishes her no harm and they tentatively become friends. Pete tells Arrietty that his Great Aunt Mary, who owns the house they all share, has died. As no-one can find the will, the nasty local lawyer, Ocious Potter (John Goodman), has decided to demolish the house. Realising the problem faced by Arrietty and her family, Pete promises to smuggle them to the new home when they move. That day, Pete packs the Borrowers into an ice-cream tub with their possessions and puts them in the removal van, but Arrietty and Peagreen accidentally fall out of the vehicle. What's to be done? The Borrowers opens next week at UA Pacific Place, GV Hollywood, Majestic, Golden Gateway and GV Mongkok. In the small town of Winslow Corners in Ohio, life is peaceful and action figures are only toys. But don't judge an action figure by its box. Small Soldiers blends live action with state-of-the-art computer-generated imagery. It's now showing at GV Hollywood, GV Mongkok, UA Sha Tin and UA Pacific Place.
