Pei's BoC building ratified

Beijing has approved plans for the framework of its new Bank of China (BoC) building, designed by Chinese-American architect I.M. Pei, the China Daily reported yesterday. The 15-storey building, with 1.82 million square feet of floor space, would cost about 2.4 billion yuan (about HK$2.23 billion) and was scheduled for completion in September next year, the paper said.
