TONIGHT: A.W.O.L. - the band that once said it leans more towards hard rock classics by Queen and Jimi Hendrix but also plays original music - will perform at the Wanch from 10pm. Canadian duo Dynasty will be strutting their stuff at the Lau Ling Bar of Hotel Furama Kempinski from 5.30-8.15pm. Singer Becky and keyboard player Mark will present a repertoire of Cantonese songs and contemporary Western music. Tomorrow: With the success of his The Rebirth of Cool session at the Viceroy of India, and various one-offs over the past 12 months, A Cool Vibe Thang operator Mickey Smith will be performing the first of his The Funk Pit spins at Club Amoeba from midnight till 5am - and then again on the second Saturday of every month. Wednesday: Band night at Beefy's Cabin, Canton Road, and jazz night at the Godown restaurant, Admiralty (9pm) with the Victoria Jazz Band. Thursday: Radio Free Hongkong's alternative music night at Club Amoeba in Ashley Road brings together local as well as visiting bands, with Andy Ingkavet as host. Chinese trio CSYL, Sister of Sharon, John Lowe, plus a number of special guests make an appearance tonight.
