A woman told a court yesterday she had sex with a 'gigolo' three times in order to lift the curse she believed was plaguing her former live-in lover.
The 46-year-old, alleged to be the victim of a conman, said she agreed to pay for sex because she wanted to rekindle the relationship with her ex-boyfriend.
She told the District Court that a man claiming to be her ex-lover had told her over the telephone to sleep with a 'gigolo' so that his 'bad luck' could be shifted to someone else.
The woman testified that she also paid $3,700 to the 'gigolo' for his services and asked him to pass $9,000 to her ex-lover who had had a car crash and needed the money for compensation.
Judge Brian de Souza heard she failed to pick out the 'gigolo' at a police identification parade on February 17.
The prosecution said the caller was accused To Kwok-hung who also posed as the male prostitute.
It was claimed To also conned another woman, 49, into sex and out of $15,000 by posing as her husband over the phone.
