May I offer my congratulations to the Hong Kong Government and the Airport Authority on providing us with a very fine, efficient and well-equipped international airport? I travel widely, so my timings at airports are crucial to meetings overseas and an example last week was no exception. At very short notice I had to make a trip to Malaysia. At the airport, I was able to purchase a ticket from Cathay Pacific, check-in, go through immigration and security all in 15 minutes. I found sign-posting sufficient and I had plenty of time to explore the new facilities. Formalities on return were equally efficient. But I only had carry-on luggage which saved considerable time.
I travelled to the airport by car (45 minutes) and returned by Airport Express in the same time, door to door.
I had no problems. As far as I'm concerned, we have an airport to be proud of.
