Three hurt as KMB double-decker smashes through railings on estate
THREE people were injured when a Kowloon Motor Bus spun out of control on a busy road and crashed near a block at Choi Wan Estate - the fifth accident involving the company in just six months.
The double-decker bus careered on to a pavement and smashed through railings before hurtling down a slope and hitting the side of a building near Cheung Bor House, Clear Water Bay Road, Choi Wan Estate, Ngau Chi Wan, at about 10.30am.
A woman pedestrian, 26, suffered cuts to her hands from the damaged railings and two female passengers, aged 13 and 55, suffered minor injuries.
They were all taken to United Christian Hospital and discharged after treatment.
A police spokesman said the KMB route 10 bus had left the Choi Hung bus station and was travelling up Clear Water Bay Road when the accident happened. The cause was still unknown.
On August 9, a 75-year-old woman was killed by a KMB bus as she crossed at the junction of Hennessy Road and Canal Road, Causeway Bay.
