Hong Kong international goalkeeper Kevin Lok Kar-win, who was embroiled in a match-fixing scandal in June and released on police bail, is set to return to First Division action tomorrow. Lok was re-signed by South China on Monday but was loaned to Golden less than 24 hours later to replace injured Golden 'keeper Victor Derbounov. The 25-year-old is now ready to play for Golden in their First Division match against Rangers tomorrow night at Mongkok Stadium. Russian Derbounov injured his left knee during Golden's 4-0 defeat by Happy Valley last Saturday and will undergo a knee scan on Friday. Lok, who was released by South China after the scandal, now gets a chance to resurrect his career. In other news, Instant-Dict were fined $10,000 and docked one point by the Hong Kong Football Association last night for fielding suspended defender Fung Ka-ki in the league opener on August 30. The Dickies held South China to a 2-2 draw in the game but the result has been changed to 3-0 in favour of the Caroliners. Instant-Dict executive director Ken Ng accompanied Jubilo Iwata officials on an inspection of the Hong Kong Stadium yesterday. Both sides meet here in the Asian Club Championship first round, first leg match on September 30. Jubilo, the first stage champions of the J.League this season, have the service of Brazilian international skipper Dunga, Japanese international midfielders Toshihiro Hattori and Hiroshi Nanami, and striker Masashi Nakayama. They also have former Brazilian international defender Adilson Diaz Batista and Brazilian youth international right-winger Dedimar Souza Lima. Their lineup for the match against Instant-Dict will be confirmed only after their league game against JEF United on September 26. The Dickies thrashed Second Division side Fire Services 7-1 in a friendly yesterday at the Sports Institute.
