The Buildings Department approved 32 building plans in July including 13 residential-related projects, four commercial developments and five industrial ventures.
The biggest project was Truebright Investment's 1.01 million square foot residential development in Hung Tin, Yuen Long. It comprises eight blocks, ranging from 18 storeys to 22 storeys, on a two-level podium.
Hong Kong Resort secured approval for four 25-storey apartment blocks, with a floor area of 365,800 sq ft, at Discovery Bay.
New World Development got consent to build seven nine-storey apartment blocks on two basement levels, with a total area of 196,427 sq ft, in Tai Po Road.
Lai Sun Development and Guoco Land received approval for their joint venture to build a 27-storey commercial tower, with 124,000 sq ft, in Carnavon Road and Kimberley Road in Tsim Sha Tsui.
Sun Hung Kai Properties, Shun Tak Holdings and New World got approval for their revised Belcher Gardens project to build six 50-storey to 61-storey residential blocks in Pokfulam. It will provide a total floor area of 2.68 million sq ft.
