Youth achieves Cambridge goal

It was a dream-come-true for a young student when he won a scholarship to study at one of the world's top universities.

Angelo Chan Ka-hao, 18, won a $300,000 scholarship from the Jardine Foundation to study at Cambridge University.

He recently finished his secondary education at St Paul's School in London and gained four As at advanced level and two As in the Cambridge University entrance exam.

Next month, the science whizz heads off to study natural sciences at the university's Trinity College.

'It has been my dream to study in this world-class university,' he said.

He hopes the wide range of science electives will allow him to explore chemistry, physics and mathematics before concentrating on biology.
