Chase Manhattan Bank has appointed Mary Lo as vice-president and senior manager, marketing and retail banking. Ms Lo will supervise the strategic development and promotion of various retail banking products in Hong Kong. Global One has appointed Lee Sparkman as vice- president and general manager for Asia, Middle East and Africa. Mr Sparkman will be responsible for leading the strategic expansion and maintenance of the company's operations in these regions. Lloyds Pacific has appointed Fiona Lucas as director, private clients group. Ms Lucas will be responsible for developing a full range of banking facilities and financial services in Hong Kong. Daniel McConaghy has been appointed as vice-president - finance, Asia- Pacific, of Cabletron Systems. Mr McConaghy will be responsible for the company's IT, logistics and financial performance in 13 Asia-Pacific countries. IBM has appointed Tony Tai as general manager for Hong Kong and Samuelson Young as general manager, banking, finance, securities and insurance industry, IBM Greater China Group. Mr Young will oversee the company's business in the Greater China banking and finance sectors and will be relocated to Beijing. Eagle Star Insurance Group has made six senior appointments. Matthew Ng has been appointed as manager - MPF development. He will be responsible for formulating marketing strategy for Mandatory Provident Fund schemes and overseeing the marketing support and channel development of this product. Patrick Yeung and Pat rick Li have been promoted to regional managers of the agency division. Ivan Cho, John Wen and Alan Chu have been appointed as district managers of the agency division. Citic Ka Wah Bank has named Amy Leung head of sales of consumer banking. Ms Leung will be responsible for retail sales planning, productivity and process re-engineering.
