Microsoft has released a traditional Chinese version of Windows 98. It will be available in Circle K convenience stores and computer software and accessories retailers. Copies of Chinese Windows 98 purchased at Circle K or Microsoft's upcoming roadshows will be priced at $1,299 for the full version or $720 for the upgrade, down from $1,599 and $850. Microsoft roadshows will be held at the Wan Chai Computer Centre and Star Computer Centre on September 26-27. The English-language version of Windows 98 was released in June while a simplified Chinese edition was launched in China last month. Pirated versions of simplified Chinese Windows 98 were recently discovered in the mainland.
