TWO Nepalese men were arrested at Kai Tak airport over the weekend for allegedly smuggling in 1.54 kilograms of heroin worth $1.14 million.

The pair, aged 20 and 24, were stopped and searched on their arrival from Manila at 6 pm on Saturday and 350 grams of high-grade heroin was found concealed in the soles of their shoes.

They were taken to hospital where they allegedly discharged a further 1.19 kg of heroin in 159 pellets.
