A professional attitude is the key to success in studies and pursuing a career, according to two scholarship recipients whose awards will meet the cost of their final year at university. International property consultants Jones Lang Wootton said the awards were each equivalent to $44,000. The two JLW scholars were Cannas Ho Ka-yan of Hong University and Charmaine Ha Chau-ming of the Polytechnic University, who are studying degrees related to a career in real estate. 'In this competitive business world, having a professional qualification is extremely important if one really wants to pursue a career which has good prospects,' explained Miss Ha. Both scholars were required to conduct a research project on a real estate-related topic and fulfil other criteria in order to obtain the awards. After consultation with their professors, Miss Ho has decided to conduct a study on shopping centres while Miss Ha will research theme parks.
