Police and staff from the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) were called to Chun Hong House, Tin Ma Court, at 10.30am when the dog, named Fei Chu, or Fat Pig, was found frozen to the spot on a tiny air-conditioner ledge.

The dog must have climbed out of the window of a bedroom on the 17th floor while the owner was out and fallen about a metre on to the ledge.

As they waited for the owner to return, a crowd of onlookers who gathered to watch were ushered away from the building.

Police and the two SPCA members gained access to the unit after the owner returned after 11am and eventually rescued the lucky dog.
