Ogilvy & Mather's public relations wing says its mainland operation has won a number of new accounts. The unit, Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, claims the new accounts have helped increase the combined revenue of the branches in the mainland's three largest cities by more than 50 per cent.

Distillers Seagram, beverage manufacturer Lion Nathan, the Beijing Aquarium and digital visual technology providers Vtel are among the clients who have enlisted Ogilvy PR in the past 12 months. Asia Pacific president Matthew Anderson said the rise in the Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou offices' income covered the first seven months of this year.
