Super Power's show of strength

SUPER POWER confirmed he is in top shape for tomorrow night's Valley meeting when holding stablemate Win Tack in their final gallop yesterday morning.

Wong Tang-ping has his stable in fine form and these two pleased in their latest trial.

Both are improving and should be included in quinella bets in the two concluding events tomorrow. Win Tack had also worked well on Saturday morning.

Wong put the blinkers back on My Silvero for his work from the barriers down the back straight yesterday morning.

The result was a much-improved effort from the New Zealand import who ran so well when fitted with the blinkers for the first time last season. In fact, he also showed his best form in New Zealand when sporting blinkers.

Yesterday he pulled several lengths clear of stablemate California Prince and is one to note. Just be a little wary of him first time out as Wong's horses invariably need a run to get into top shape and this horse has been off the track for quite a while, suggesting there has been a training problem along the way.

In other work from the barriers, Wong's subscription griffin Wonderful stamped himself as a horse to follow when classified. Wong is very patient with this type of horse.

Be Glorious does not appear to have settled down any more for his new trainer Ivan Allan than he did for his old one, Bruce Hutchision. Yesterday he pulled his rider's arms out down the back straight in a gallop in which stablemates Sky High and Pinch TheDevil showed that they are still going the right way.
