Spring could still be a value banker in the opening leg of tomorrow afternoon's Sha Tin Triple Trio.

The holiday meeting sees a bumper 10-race card in operation but the TT remains unchanged, operating on races three, four and six and requiring the first three to be found in any order in all of these events.

Spring put in a highly promising effort as a griffin when third to Man Of Honour and followed that with an easy reappearance win down tomorrow's straight 1,000-metre chute when far from fully wound up.

The Ricky Yiu-trained youngster appears to have developed physically during the close season and progressed in his work for that sprint win.

But there will still be some ready to oppose him on the basis that he might not have beaten much down the straight and that he's drawn out in barrier 13, whereas the draw for this sprint may favour those drawn low.

Two of the other main form picks, Fast Win and Whytellyou, are also drawn high and it could be that this bunch take themselves across to nearer the far rail as the race unfolds and thus minimise any draw bias against them.
