THE tens of thousands of worshippers expected to flock to Joss House Bay today and tomorrow to celebrate the birth of the sea goddess Tin Hau were yesterday urged to use caution to avoid collisions.

A Marine Department spokesman said owners and operators of local craft ferrying worshippers to the bay must not overload vessels and should ''exercise self-discipline and be considerate to other users''.

Worshippers, meanwhile, should take care when boarding and alighting from craft.

The Hongkong Ferry Company is running special services to the bay, starting at 10 am from North Point.
