MORNING Star Holdings has recorded an attributable profit of $7.72 million for last year, an increase of 89 per cent over $4.08 million in 1991. Earnings per share were 3.9 cents, against 2.9 cents the previous year, a rise of 34.5 per cent. The directors did not recommend a final dividend. Operating profit for the year ended December included an exceptional gain of about $8 million from the disposal of a 38.4 per cent interest in the Punta Baluarte Resort in the Philippines. The disposal was completed in December last year. Finance director Ricor da Silveira said they were very happy with the results. ''The results do not yet reflect our throughput ratio as we expect even better results for 1993 and 1994,'' he said.
