A GARMENT quality controller who indecently assaulted a woman on the MTR was yesterday sentenced to 14 days in prison.
Wong Yui-heung, 33, pleaded guilty at South Kowloon Court to the assault on March 31.
The court heard that Wong had got on to the MTR at Lok Fu, travelled to Yau Ma Tei and then back to Lok Fu in search of a victim.
Sentencing magistrate Mr Fergal Sweeney said: ''A particular type of indecent assault appears before this court.
''[The defendant] does not merely take advantage of rush hour traffic, but actually travels up and down the line during the rush hour looking for trouble.
''Such men are a particular nuisance to female passengers, who should be able to travel on the MTR without molestation.'' Defence lawyer Mr Paulus Lau said the offence had brought shame on Wong. He pointed out that he had co-operated fully with the police.
