They obtained a search warrant yesterday and broke down the door of the suspect's room in a ninth-floor flat in the building in Castle Peak Road, Cheung Sha Wan, where the boy's body was found stuffed inside a bag on the landing between the third and fourth floors.

'One of the possible locations where the boy was murdered was in the building,' Detective Senior Inspector Suen Suet-ying said.

The motive behind the attack remains unknown. There was no evidence the boy had been sexually assaulted, Inspector Suen said.

The suspect, aged about 30, was last seen wearing a red T-shirt, and was about 1.7 metres tall, of medium build and with short hair.

Chi-fung, a Primary One pupil, was lured away from a playground in Un Chau Estate by a man at about 2.30pm on Saturday. His body was found at about 5pm.
