CARINA Lau will play the mother of her beau Tony Leung in a new movie. The actress said she did not mind the role as she would play a young mother. Lau and Leung had been in movies together but never played opposite each other. Singer Sam Tsang recently got a new haircut which makes him look like Jacky Cheung. Tsang said he wanted to get rid of his serious image and was happy with his new look. Rumour has it that actors Yuen Siu-cheung and Tang Siu-jun are simultaneously courting singer Vivian Lai. Lai denied that she was being courted by the actors, but said she would prefer hefty guys like Yuen instead of skinny men like Tang for a boyfriend. Sally Yeh declared her love for George Lam in a recent concert in Toronto. She said she would be with Lam if the latter did not have a wife and children. Tony Leung has declined an invitation to co-host this year's Hongkong Film Award presentation ceremony. The star is not allowed to appear on ATV due to his contract with TVB. Actress Gigi Lai will soon release her debut album. Following the recent trend in showbiz, the actress has signed a contract with Warner Music.
