Favourite book: Living Buddha Living Christ written by a Vietnamese monk, Thich Nhat Hanh. I used to be a devout Buddhist but after reading this book I am beginning to understand the similarities between the two religions and can see behind the culturally based rituals and preaching.
Magazine: Postmagazine. It offers high-quality journalism and covers everything I want and need to know about topical local and world issues, lifestyle, travel and fashion. I particularly like Parallel Lives, Favourites, The Big Thing and the Travel section.
Film: Love Is A Many Splendoured Thing, directed by Henry King. Set in Hong Kong during the Korean War, this is a romantic film about the love affair between a war correspondent and a Eurasian lady doctor. It's lovely to see 1950s Hong Kong and the theme song is unforgettable.
CD: Centering Meditation, narrated by Paula Horan with music by Merlin's Magic, soothing music which I play while I meditate - keeping in contact with my inner self balances my spiritual and emotional well-being.
Car: Any convertible sports car. I've owned three.
Place to take a guest in Hong Kong: Lei Yue Mun. The seafood market is interesting for guests, and the fresh and simply cooked seafood is always delicious.
