A MAN who tried to run away from plain-clothes police has gone on trial in the High Court charged with conspiracy to rob and possessing two imitation firearms. Wong Hak-shing, 24, has denied a charge of conspiracy to rob on March 12 last year near the vehicular ferry pier, Yau Ma Tei, and possession of an imitation Colt pistol and a Smith & Wesson revolver. Mr Adrian Bell, prosecuting, said at about 12.45 pm police saw a dark green car driven by Wong slowly circling the area. The officers went to investigate and found the air guns and pellets. Wong pushed an officer, tried to run away and was arrested.
