I refer to the report headlined, 'Cup of black tea helps to repel cancer' (South China Morning Post, September 19).

According to a mainland study, women who drink a cup of tea, without milk, every day are protecting themselves against cancer.
However, the Post report did not mention men. Could the authors of the study inform us, through these columns, if men would be similarly protected if they consumed black tea? S. O. HABIB Kowloon
