Singer Daniel Chan Hiu-tung made a lot of money from his performances on the mainland, while strengthening links with his fans there.
He will stage more concerts in the United States, Canada and Singapore next month.
'I am glad that some entertainment companies are inviting me for overseas performances. They will bring me international fame, while giving me the chance to have a holiday,' he said.
Chan has launched a promotion campaign to boost the sales of his newly-released CD. 'Though I was hampered by some negative news and rumours, they didn't really hurt my image. I don't feel any pressure, as I have done my best to produce quality songs,' he said.
Singer Sam Hui Koon-kit will direct a musical performance at the Hong Kong Coliseum in February. It will feature Gigi Leung, Miriam Yeung, Ekin Cheung and Chan Siu-chun and will be based on their teenage dreams.
Meanwhile, singer Jacky Cheung Hok-yau is planning to hold his concerts at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre at the same time. Cheung said this would be his first solo performance at the Wan Chai venue, where he hoped to 'spring a few surprises'.
