Valerie Chow says her boyfriend decided to visit her on the set of her latest movie the day she was scheduled to film her first and only love scene with co-star Dolph Lundgren.

'It was the last day of filming that John [McLellan] decided to visit me and funnily it was the day Dolph and I were shooting a kissing scene,' she laughs. 'I mean for the whole six weeks I was doing action scenes back-to-back and he chose to drop by that day! Dolph joked that it was the first time an actress he had worked with had a boyfriend with such impeccable timing.' Valerie's latest movie is a futuristic adventure called A Bridge of Dragons in which she plays a princess. The movie will be shown on HBO.

'I'm the female lead and you see me from beginning to end. This is one step closer to where I want to be in my career,' says Valerie, who spent six gruelling weeks filming in Sofia, Bulgaria.

After this, Valerie will audition for a role in Universal Soldier II, to star Jean-Claude Van Damme.

But back to her love scene. How did John take it? 'John was great. He didn't feel insecure at all.' And when the fact that both of them happen to be blond is pointed out, Valerie laughs: 'But I think Dolph is much bigger.'
