Official body releases airline

A government-directed foundation in Taiwan will give up control of China Airlines by selling more than half its stake in the island's leading carrier. The China Aviation Development Foundation, which holds 71 per cent of China Airlines' equity, said its board had agreed to sell more than 50 per cent of its holding in the carrier to improve China Airlines' operational structure.
