JOURNALISTS from the Sunday Morning Post and South China Morning Post have scooped all nine prizes at the Hongkong Best Press Articles of the Year Awards 1992. The general news award went to Sunday Morning Post reporter Peter Woolrich and cadet reporter Stella Lee. The Sunday Morning Post's Jon Marsh and Chris Dobson were first runners-up, while colleague Kavita Daswani and the South China Morning Post's Luisa Tam were second runners-up. Sunday Money reporter Kennis Chu took first prize in the business section. Gareth Hewett of the daily Business Post was first runner-up and former Sunday Money reporter Eva To was second runner-up. The feature section's top award went to Peter Woolrich, followed by Chris Dobson as first runner-up, and the South China Morning Post's Vivian Chiu as second runner-up. The annual contest, organised by the Newspaper Society of Hongkong and sponsored by STAR TV, attracted 190 entries for the English and Chinese sections. First prize winners will receive $10,000 each while first and second runners-up will be given $3,000 and $2,000 respectively. The presentation ceremony will be held at the Newspaper Society of Hongkong annual ball at the Regent Hotel next Friday.
