Young classical musicians and pop stars joined forces in a surge of musical energy at Government House to raise funds for AIDS education. Organised by AIDS Concern and produced by 104 FM Select of Metro Broadcast, the charity AIDS Concern Concert featured Canto-pop stars Karen Mok, Anthony Wong and other prominent local musicians. Showing a different side to their talent, Mok and Wong performed jazz numbers, classical works and pop hits together with the Diocesan Boys' School String Quartet. The quartet comprised students Wong See-long, Tsang Yiu-hei, Ronald Tam and Yip Siu-hei. Proceeds from the concert went to AIDS Concern, a non- governmental voluntary organisation which offers AIDS support and carries out educational programmes in secondary schools.
