Three teenage girls were found cutting their wrists in a stairwell of a Yuen Long estate early yesterday. The girls, aged 15 to 17, were found at 2am in Hor Ping House, Long Ping Estate. They were taken to Tuen Mun Hospital. Police said the youngest girl was unhappy because of family and love problems and first cut her left wrist before her friends followed suit. A man, 25, was talked down from the roof of a 38-storey residential block in Tseung Kwan O after a seven-hour stand-off. He cut his wrists in the incident and was treated at hospital. Meanwhile, the body of a woman, 21, was found floating in the harbour off Central early yesterday. A note found in Chong Mei-huen's bag said she had killed herself because of romantic problems.
