Loose tiles dangerous
As a regular jogger, I feel fortunate to be living on Hong Kong Island, as there are quite a number of good places where I can run, such as Bowen Road and Lugard Road. I have a far greater choice than joggers in Kowloon.
I usually go running on the jogging track inside the playing field at the Jockey Club in Happy Valley. The playing field is maintained by the Urban Council.
Over the past few months, the conditions of the track have deteriorated.
During the summer, a large area of the track was waterlogged and was therefore unusable.
The flooding problem seems to have been solved, but there is a part of the track where the tiles have come loose. This is dangerous for joggers, as they can easily trip on these tiles and twist an ankle.
I hope that the council will look into this and replace the loose tiles, before someone gets injured.
