Athletes and cheering teams participated enthusiastically when Queen Elizabeth School held its sports day at Wan Chai Sports Ground. A large number of students competed in a variety of track and field events and demonstrated admirable sportsmanship. The cheering teams used pompoms, tambourines, drums and whistles to cheer the competitors on. Teachers acted as officials and were pleased to see co-operation and team spirit among the students. Guest-of-honour Lui Wing- chuen, vice-chairman of the school's parent-teacher association, said the aim of taking part in sports competitions was to continually strive to improve one's performance.
