TO WIDEN the musical experience of music lovers is the commitment of Friends of the Philharmonic, and its latest venture is an English and Cantonese show on May 8 titled ''The Novel Merging of Music and Technology - CD-I Exposition''. CD-I is hardware that looks like a LD player. Once you put in the CD-I software, you can listen to high-quality music while watching the screen. Using remote control, you can change the visual output. With this new invention, music can accompany the picture, or the other way round, and the picture can help you understand the music. Programmes on the show include Discovering Mozart, Classical Jukebox, Pavarotti OKE, Great Paintings, Great Music and A Taste of Jazz. There are also 30 prizes to be given away. It will be a fun afternoon, so reserve your seats now. The show will be held on May 8 from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm at the Space Museum Lecture Hall. Tickets at at $10 (Friends of the Philharmonic) and $20 (non-Friends) are now available. To get your ticket, call Jimmy Shiu at 721-2320.
