Misuse

I am a wheelchair-bound person who frequents Sha Tin Town Hall and greatly appreciate its wheelchair-friendliness.

However, after some recent renovations to the toilets for the disabled, notices stating that these toilets are for disabled people only have disappeared and my repeated requests to the town hall's management to restore these notices have been turned down.

These toilets have always been used by uncaring and uncivic-minded able-bodied people who urinate on the floor and toilet seats.

Once the signs went up, a few years ago, this became less of a problem. The notices proved to be an effective deterrent.

However, now that they have been taken down, this misuse has got worse.

I know what I am talking about as I am a frequent visitor to the town hall.

This means that virtually every time they visit the toilet, wheelchair-bound people have to clean it before use.
