A MAN appeared in court yesterday facing a charge of attempting to murder a commuter on the platform of Kowloon Tong MTR station. Unemployed Chan Chi-kwan, 28, is accused of pushing Ngai Ka-chuen, 26, into the path of a train on Friday. Mr Ngai lost his right leg in the incident. Kwun Tong magistrate David Duggan adjourned the case until December 11 for a psychiatric report to determine whether the defendant was fit to plead. Mr Ngai was in a stable condition in hospital last night.
