Alex Wong Yu-on (right) may not have one of the biggest stables in town but he has certainly been able to turn out a winner in the past two seasons.

And the efforts of a couple of his up-and-coming youngsters at trackwork yesterday indicated that his winning run is set to continue.

Perfect Victory made a big impression when he broke through for his first win recently and although the three-year-old now finds himself in Class Three he looks well up to handling the promotion.

He is an entry for a race on International Cup day and with likely rider Douglas Whyte on top he looked on good terms with himself as he put an easy 800 metres behind him.

Earlier in the week he had given stablemate Gallant Blossom one hell of a beating in a rousing gallop and the American-bred son of Copelan appears to be going from strength to strength.

Winning Touch was able to break through for his first win two starts back and was then desperately unlucky not to finish in the placings last time out after being checked in the last 200 metres.

He was asked to match strides with Class One stablemate Win-Etic over 1,200 metres and was going every bit as well as his more highly rated companion on the line.
