Yim Chi, 73, was eating lunch with his wife in their 10th-floor flat when they saw smoke from the fire which had broken out in a neighbouring unit.
'I ventured out of the house but the smoke was so thick that I couldn't see much,' Mr Yim said.
'A young man fainted after inhaling too much smoke. After moving him to a safe spot, my wife and I managed to wake him up,' he said, adding he believed the man was about 25.
